- AMOLED [Used in Samsung Galaxy ]
Super Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode or Super AMOLED [used in Samsung Galaxy Nexus] is a display technology Which differ from other display technologies where the layer that detects touch is integrated into the screen rather than being overlaid on top.Compared with the first-generation AMOLED, some of the Super AMOLED advantages are brighter screens, less sunlight reflection and reduced power consumption.Variants of this technology are Super AMOLED Plus and HD Super AMOLED.
Super AMOLED Plus, first introduced with the Samsung Galaxy S II series smartphones where the screen technology is also brighter, thinner and 18% more energy efficient.HD Super AMOLED is a new Super AMOLED type display from Samsung featuring HD (1280 x 800) resolution. The first device to use an Super AMOLED HD is the Samsung Galaxy Note: an Android 2.3.5 phone with a 5.3″ display.
- IPS-LCD [common in iPhone]
IPS stands for in-plane switching. An IPS-LCD is a type of thin display that offers better viewing angles than TFT-LCDs.IPS-LCDs feature two transistors for each pixel, where TFT-LCDs use just one. This requires a more powerful backlight, which delivers more accurate colors, and allows the screen to be viewed from a wider angle. The downside is that an IPS-LCD may consume more power than a TFT-LCD. IPS-LCDs typically are found on high-end cell phones and portable devices. Apple’s iPhone and iPad both feature IPS-LCDs, as does the Motorola Droid.

The chip commercially debuted with the release of Apple’s iPad 2 tablet, and also powers the iPhone 4S.The A5 contains a rendition of a chip based upon the dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore CPU with NEON SIMD accelerator and a dual core PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU.Apple states that the CPU is twice as powerful and the GPU up to seven times as powerful as its predecessor, the Apple A4.
