For developers and Programmers , it’s always better to have an eye on TIOBE Programming Community Index .So if any one doubts what it’s , simply “TIOBE Programming Community index” is an indicator of the popularity of programming languages. TIOBE  index is  frequently updated once a month. According to TIOBE , It’s ranking of PL is  independent of any  Industry and ratings are based on the number of skilled engineers world-wide, courses and third-party vendors. The popular search engines Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Wikipedia, YouTube and Baidu are  also used to calculate the ratings.
Although TIOBE index is sensitive to the ranking policy of the search engines on which it is based This  index can be used to check whether your programming skills are still up to date or to make a strategic decision about what programming language should be adopted when starting to build a new software system.
Now coming to its rating on PL, Java remains No. 1 on the Tiobe list, followed by C, C++, C#, and PHP. Between Objective-C and D, the top 20 was filled out by Visual Basic, Python, Perl, JavaScript, Ruby, Delphi/Object Pascal, Lua, Lisp, Transact-SQL, Pascal, PL-SQL, Ada, and RPG (OS/400).
