Windows 8| Microsoft releases video of Windows 8 tablet Interface

Lots of rumour came across various sites regarding Microsoft next Version of Windows-Windows8 ,many sites even released some Windows8 build leaked versions. However finally Microsoft had taken a step ahead in releasing an official video of Development of Windows8.It’s quite clear from the video that Windows 8 Proves Web Apps are the Future of Computing.Microsoft wants developers to code in the language of the Web—just like Google did. i.e always stay live with web.

The next version of the Windows OS will run on everything from phones and tablets to desktop PCs, and it will feature, almost  front and center, apps built in HTML5, CSS, and Javascript.Which are precisely the technologies used to build apps that run in the Web browser. So it’s a good knews that Microsoft  eye on latest Web trends & adapting to it-in fact it’s  borrowing ideas from others too[We have seen it well in IE9].

This means that Google, with its Chrome OS and Chromebook laptops, and Microsoft are now both concentrating on making it easy for Web developers to create for their platforms. Since Apple  too in the contest it’s time to welcome some amazing & innovative tech standards. And also Cloud OS competing much in the OS industry Microsofts forced to take a step further towards latest Web Standards.
Although the video shows  touch tablet  based OS interface ,Fact is that Windows 8  almost Proves Web Apps Are the Future of Computing.Microsoft wants developers to code in the language of the Web—just like Google.

Here are a few aspects of the new interface of Windows 8 :

  • Fast launching of apps from a tile-based Start screen, which replaces the Windows Start menu with a customizable, scalable full-screen view of apps.[although no Desktop based Videos are not shown]
  • Live tiles with notifications, showing always up-to-date information from your apps.
  • Fluid, natural switching between running apps.
  • Convenient ability to snap and re-size an app to the side of the screen, so you can really take more  advantage of multitask using the capabilities of Windows.
  •  Web-connected and Web-powered apps built using HTML5 and JavaScript that have access to the full power of the PC.
  • Fully touch-optimized browsing, with all the power of hardware-accelerated Internet Explorer 10.

However there is a saying that “Taste first then Predict whether  it’s Bitter or Sweet”. So Well wait for Windows8.View Official Microsoft News on Windows 8

  1. OK boys here is the question is whether that streamlined, sleek interface can support the heavy-duty needs of hardcore PC users, who are used to the old Windows interface that allows for multiple open windows and documents and applications

  2. Many people are disappointed by the presentation.
We don’t any connection with Windows Phone 7 apps.
Are they asking developers to develop apps in Silverlight for WP7, then redevelop it in HTML5 & JavaScript for Windows tablet? It is crazy!
HTML5 & JavaScript is OK for gadgets and some apps. But complex apps and games need to support Silverlight and XNA.If MS does not change it, WP7 and Windows 8 are doomed for smartphone and tablet. As developers, we should focus on iOS and android.

    • we can’t predict from this simple video that what fully Windows 8 is going to be?-OK it’s rather a great Challenge to traditional desktops but Just wait for the final release & than going for this sort of Presumption
