OGV or Ogg Vorbis

It is roughly comparable to other formats used to store and play digital music, such as MP3, VQF, AAC, and other digital audio formats. It is different from these other formats because it is completely free, open, and not patented.Ogg is the name of Xiph.org’s container format for audio, video, and metadata. Vorbis is the name of a specific audio compression scheme that’s designed to be contained in Ogg. Note that other formats are capable of being embedded in Ogg such as FLAC and Speex.Ogg Vorbis video files may also use the .OGM extension.Today, there are some mainstream players that will accept the ogg file format, such as iTunes, iMovie, QuickTime, and Windows Media Player,VLC. These players will require a free codec, a set of files that recognizes additional formatting types, to be downloaded to use the ogg file format. The Free Software Foundation (FSF) also has a free ogg file format player available from their website.With help of HTML5 <Video> tag it’s easy to embed ogg format without any additional plugin.
